polaris 2016 yxz1000r These two powerplants are very different. Yamaha used a pipey, three cylinder mill that likes to be revved, but can be lugged. Having a manual transmission to use, the power output can be played with and it gives the driver a totally different experience.

polaris 2016 yxz1000r On take off the RZR is smooth no matter how much throttle input you give it. The YXZ1000 requires the driver to rev the engine and feather the clutch or rev it even higher and dump it. Once rolling you can lug the Yamaha around as slow as you want without a big risk of stalling. If you want to remove any risk of stalling you can install the Rekluse auto clutch system. With it you still should use the clutch when shifting at speed, it just takes away the necessity of using it when starting and coming to a stop.
